The UEFA European Football Championship begins on June 14, and here is a selection of venues and bars that will be showing the matches on big screens.
3KT
Address: Dokkveien 3 (right by the National Gallery)
Located right by Aker Brygge, this outdoor seating area has 800 seats, several big screens, and food and drink service. If the weather is a bit rough, there is also a tent where you can watch the match and stay dry. You can reserve a table via their website.
Gladkokken Ute

Address: Jernbanetorget 1 (between Oslo S and Østbanehallen)
This might be Oslo’s most central backyard. It’s located between Oslo S and Østbanehallen, just a stone’s throw away from the tiger statue at Jernbanetorget. There’s seating for 200 people and the possibility to reserve tables. Street food from the indoor restaurant is also served here. There is a roof if you want to avoid the rain or sit in the shade.
Nydalen Brewery and Eatery
Address: Nydalsveien 30 A
This microbrewery and restaurant will be showing the championship on their screens. The combination of football and a gastropub is impeccable, so it’s hard not to have a good time here. If the summer sun is blazing, you can also take a dip in the river!
Holzweiler Platz
Address: Operagata 61D
Holzweiler’s restaurant has announced that they will be showing the Euro Cup inside the restaurant throughout the championship. They have also added a special burger to the menu for the occasion. Booking a table is required.
Prindsen Hage
Address: Chr. Krogs gate 15
Huge screen, huge backyard. Prindsen Hage offers food service from several food trucks and seating for around 300 guests. Drop-in only.
Carls
Address: Trondheimsveien 113
A football pub must, of course, show football. This relatively new place has become very popular, so we recommend you arrive early to secure a table (especially for big matches). Carls also serves classic «footy scran» like burgers and pizza.
Brygg
Address: Storgata 7
Craft beer and football go together like hand in a keeper’s glove. The brewery and beer enthusiasts in Storgata have reserved the entire second floor of the house for the football championship.
Bar 35
Address: Akershusstranda 15
Below the ramparts of Akershus Fortress, there are 600 seats and two big screens outdoors. There are also some screens indoors if it turns out to be another rainy summer.
Kontraskjæret
Address: In the park right by Akershus Fortress, next to Oslo City Hall
A football championship like a festival. There is space for up to 7500 people here, and the atmosphere can get pretty intense if it’s an exciting match. There is no entrance fee but if you want to get away from the crowds, they also have a VIP area you can get access to for a small fee. A classic spot to watch championship football in Oslo – a must-see if you’re visiting.
